I promise I'm not rebellious!

My stubbornness and disobedience is as a result of fear, not rebellion.

Yes Lord I am afraid…


You know, it actually was my idea to do this thing you're currently insisting on.

I can remember times when I'd just cry out in frustration that I'm tired of doing what I have to and I want to do what I love.


But then…I live in a real world with real needs, real bills and real responsibilities.

They're staring at me in the face and it just incapacitates me

And by the way this is not an excuse, it's the place where I'm at.

Lord, I genuinely want to obey you, but what about the needs?

“So don’t worry at all about having enough food and clothing. Why be like the heathen? For they take pride in all these things and are deeply concerned about them. 

But your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well that you need them, and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to." Matt 6:32-33


Sofia I am not a foolish person and you must believe it

I was aware of all your needs even before you knew you needed them.

I am not just aware, I am equally capable to meet those needs…oh ye of little faith!

You have everything you need because you have me.


I have a track record of keeping my promises and I have promised to never leave nor forsake you 

I have promised that those who put their trust in me will never be put to shame or disappointed

Sofia, I have promised to take care of you.

If this isn't enough for you to trust me then I don't know what else to tell you again oo.

Trust and obey and your life will always be secured in me.”

… Dealing with hurt & anger that doesn't go away One of the many compliments I get from my readers is how relatable my articles are and I can say for a fact that it is because I almost always write from a place of experience, not just knowledge. I can't wait to save my own life… I can remember having this particular conversation with my friend where I said, I think it's unfair that all our lives we're told to do a particular thing but are never taught how to actually do it.
